South African actor Buyisile Zama, who will star as the baboon Rafiki in the stage production of The Lion King, gives his make-up a test run before the show's opening at the Capitol Theatre on October 16. Make-up artist Jung-Min Oh and associate hair and make-up designer Carole Hancock took an hour to transform Zama. The show's onstage menagerie, ranging from a 12-centimetre mouse to 5.5-metre giraffes, will come to life with 232 masks and puppets, 387 costumes and 238 pairs of shoes.
