BALI bombing hero Christine Min will receive overdue recognition when she is named among the region's Order of Australia Medal recipients today.

Ms Min, holidaying nearby at the time of the October 2002 attack, rushed to Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar as soon as she heard about the blasts. She worked for 22 consecutive hours helping 50 injured people.

The award comes after an investigation into why Ms Min was overlooked in last year's Bali honours list.

Other recipients from the region include firefighters Barry Brotherson and Barry Waite, Triple Care Farm manager Warren Holt, ambulance volunteer Vincent Nelson, Wollongong Nursing Home chaplain Leonie Burgess and Lions Club stalwart Ron May.
